‘Shameless’ season 6 spoilers: Will Sasso latest guest actor to jump aboard

We feel like we’re getting a really good chunk of “Shameless” casting news right now in a span of a short amount of time, and for the most part, we have to say that we are very much impressed.

Of course, there is one really easy way to get us even more excited: Cast Will Sasso! According to Deadline, one of our favorite longtime character actors has signed up to play Yanis, the neighbor of Kev and V and someone who could have a few problems with others in the neighborhood. He wants to make people uncomfortable, and he is willing to go to very inappropriate lengths to make sure that this happens. He’s a blue-collar worker, and it sounds like the show is going to make use of Sasso’s height in making him a formidable figure.

It’s really hard to spend too much time even speculating on just what the story for “Shameless” season 6 can be, mostly because it tends to evolve so much even over the course of a single season. Still, this is in many ways what makes it so enjoyable. We like to see how things change over time, and we feel in general like Frank Gallagher is one of those characters whose fun really lies in the journey. We don’t think that we’re meant to spend as much time thinking about the ending as we are how we get there.

New episodes of “Shameless” are going to kick off early next year, and the series will be paired with a new Showtime drama in “Billions,” starring Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti.
