‘Saturday Night Live’ sets Miley Cyrus, Tracy Morgan, Amy Schumer as first season 41 hosts
“Saturday Night Live” has officially signed up its first three hosts of season 41, and through them there is one thing that we’ve learned: They are not messing around!
The show’s October 3 premiere is going to be hosted by Miley Cyrus, which to us is amazing news. Sure, we know that some of her antics are not entirely appreciated, but if you take all of that way you’ll still find at the end of the day here you have someone who is a really fun, capable host for the show. She’s done it twice before and done a very good job both times; her experience on “Hannah Montana” likely helps a lot being in front of a live audience and reacting to their energy in this format.
Following that, the October 10 episode is going to be hosted by Amy Schumer, someone who many have wanted to see host for some time. We’re honestly shocked that she hasn’t before now. While she’s new to the show, we feel like she is from a similar enough background (heck, “Inside Amy Schumer” is at times a sketch show) that she will be great.
Now, let’s get to the one we’re most excited about: Tracy Morgan is hosting on October 17, making his first big comedy comeback since an automobile accident took the life of his friend James McNair and nearly killed him a year and a half ago. Tracy was not ready physically or mentally to be at the 40th anniversary special earlier this year, but he’s now seemingly back in the place to make people laugh again. He’s one of the best cast members of the past 20 years on the show, and this will be a glorious reunion to have him back.
