‘Shameless’ season 6 spoilers: ‘Vampire Diaries’ guest to wrestle way onto show

While there has not been too much in the way of “Shameless” casting news before now, that is starting to change. Rejoice!

According to a new report from TheWrap, actor Chris Brochu (“The Vampire Diaries”) has landed one of the upcoming roles on the Showtime dramedy, and it is one that could mean some interesting times ahead for Lip. Specifically, he will be Dylan, a 20-year old wrestler who first enters the show after getting into some sort of altercation with the Lip character. Of course, Lip himself is someone who is coming into the show in an interesting place, given some of the scenes that he had in season 5 with Sasha Alexander.

For the most part, some of the larger storylines of the sixth season are still being kept under wraps, though we do at least know a thing or two about who some of the major players are going to be. We anticipate that Frank is going to be recovering if at all possible from some of what befell him at the end of season 5, and hopefully Fiona is going to start to get herself together after being found in relationship and even marriage limbo at one point.

In general, this is a good show to be a part of as a young actor. You get to show a pretty extensive range of emotions, and to go along with that there are plenty of opportunities to film some genuinely crazy material. Hopefully, we’re going to have some more news to share here in the near future.
