‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12 spoilers: What’s ahead for Maggie, Amelia, and Meredith?

This is a sentence we really enjoy writing: There is going to be some fun coming up on “Grey’s Anatomy” this coming season. Sure, we imagine that at some point there will be drama, but we are happy to see the show at least embracing the idea at this point of having a good time, given just how much depression that we have seen play out with these doctors over the past couple of years.

While unfortunately no one is being brought back from the dead and broken relationships are not going to suddenly get better, we can at least tell you that there is going to be some pretty entertaining stuff coming for the Maggie character as she becomes roommates with Meredith, Amelia, and Meredith’s children presumably. This sounds almost like the plot of a sitcom. Speaking to TVLine, Kely McCreary had the following to say about it:

“I can tell you straight up that Maggie has a home … Remember how we never saw last season where Maggie lives? Now she lives with Amelia and Meredith in Ellis’ house, which is super cool. There will definitely be some conflict, but of the hilarious variety as opposed to the sisters-pulling-each-other’s-hair-out variety. You can expect some ‘clashes of the titans’ going on.”

We like the idea of this story a lot, mostly because it gives some of the characters a place to interact that is not necessarily the hospital. This is something that the series always needs to implement, and having these three be related should add to the tension since they have so much to lose anytime that there is a problem.

We know the show’s never going to be a comedy, but we’re happy to get a laugh or two here and there.
