‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: Meet the (new) Three-Eyed Raven

LogoThere is a new man behind the Three-Eyed Raven on the upcoming sixth season of “Game of Thrones.”

According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, Max von Sydow (“Minority Report,” the upcoming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”) is set to inherit the part of the mysterious mentor to Bran Stark, who we last saw during the season 4 finale “The Children.” This is yet another recasting on a show that is fairly famous for them, given that such popular characters as Daario, Tommen, and The Mountain are now played by different people than they were during the early days of the show. There are many different reasons for all the changes, with one of the biggest ones being schedule-related.

We’re certainly not complaining here: Max von Sydow is a tremendous actor, and this is a really great opportunity to see someone of his caliber working in a pivotal role on the HBO show. Also, it’s going to be really nice to see someone like Bran back on the show, given just how long he has been away now (think over a year).

Also, we are assuming that there is going to be more of Hodor since you cannot have a Bran story really without him. What is going to come with that? We’re interested to find out. Season 6 is currently filming, and will premiere at some point in the spring of next year. We’re going to have some other scoop soon, so be sure to head back here for more in the near future.
