‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ preview: Vicki Gunvalson vs. Meghan King Edmonds

There have been some difficult emotions lately on “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” (especially for Vicki who had lost her mom), and when you remember that it does feel like the timing is about right to see some of the ladies try to get away from it all to try and relax. As far as vacations go, we also have to say that French Polynesia may be one of the best destinations that we’ve seen in just about any version of the franchise. The setting is gorgeous, the people are friendly, and it is the sort of super-exotic paradise that most normal people can only dream of, but these ladies get to actually visit making us die a jealous death from our couches.

So what are some of the women going to do while there? Basically, the same thing that happens almost every season during one of these getaways: Argue. As the synopsis below indicates, we are going to see conflict between Vicki Gunvalson and Meghan King Edmonds during the trip, and even before embarking on the trip there could be some awkwardness from Meghan as she has a Newlywed Game sort of party without her husband there to take part:

“When Meghan hosts a couple’s game night, her husbands’ absence becomes fair game for gossip with the other ladies. Meanwhile, Shannon and David meet with their therapist. Later, the women head off for a tropical get away to French Polynesia, but the road to paradise gets bumpy when Meghan and Vicki don’t see eye to eye.”

As you would imagine, we presume that some of Vicki’s comments in here about Meghan not doing enough to make money for herself are going to reverberate for a while. Specifically, we could see them playing a big part in the reunion show later this season, but is there anything wrong with being in the homemaker role? She is the step mother to a 17 year old and with her husband on the road a lot, taking care of the house and the day to day activities is a job in it’self.
