‘Shark Tank’ revisited: Heidi Ho, Pipcorn, Squatty Potty, Living Christmas Company

Sharks -Tonight, we’re visiting interestingly enough a “Shark Tank” episode that we have visited multiple times already, but these are also business that we are invested in somewhat more than others given that this is the 100th episode, and to be fair some of our favorite products from the show’s run are included in here. We could make a joke about how there is popcorn, dairy-free cheese, and a better way to use the bathroom when it’s all done … oh wait, we guess we just did.

Anyhow, here are our updated impressions on the companies featured tonight, and to go along with all of this we’ve went ahead and added in The Living Christmas Company, which is featured in the update section. Hey, there’s nothing more current than Christmas, right?

Pipcorn – They still look delicious, and given that they got a little bit of screen time on “The Today Show” this week, it’s fair to say that they are still doing very well. Obviously, their continued struggle is making that great first impression, that way you continue to get repeat business from people who are hungry to try out more of your product.

Squatty Potty – There is a reason that this has become one of the most successful brands in the show’s history: They know their market, and because there are not many other companies ready to have the conversation about this particular subject, they are able to capitalize on it. They have multiple different Squatty Potties now, and to go along with that, a variety of other bathroom products to help make your trips happier and healthier.

Heidi Ho – Their business looks about the same as when we last saw it, but we still love the idea of a plant-based “cheeze” that really doesn’t taste that different from actual cheese and will make vegans or health-conscious folks think that they are not missing out. It is probably never going to be too mainstream, but there is a ton of money to be made in specialty food stores.

Storm Stoppers – There is really not too much we can say about this product that we haven’t already. It’s great for people who want a long-lasting alternative to plywood when protecting their home, but if you’re not in a heavy storm area, it’s pretty useless. A good product for a specific market.

Living Christmas Company – We haven’t discussed this company in a while, but we like the idea of having a real Christmas tree delivered to you. We know that some may like the tradition of picking one out, but it is convenient, not too expensive, and also ultimately good for the trees. this is just such a difficult business to scale; still, the regions are really just limited to Northern and Southern California.
