‘Teen Wolf’ season 5, episode 6 preview: Tyler Posey, cast dives in to Dr. Valack’s world
Tonight, there were many discoveries made within Eichen House on “Teen Wolf,” beginning with a fairly major one: Dr. Valack is the author of the Dread Doctors. Through this book, he understands more about them than anything, and he also understands potentially what makes them tick. Is he a valuable resource, or an enemy designed to cause further harm and destruction? Scott McCall better figure out an answer to that, and fairly quickly going into next week’s new episode entitled “Required Reading.” It’s going to be hard to figure it out from Valack himself, given where we found him at the end of the episode.
Let’s start off by sharing a short synopsis for this episode now, mostly because it is probably nice to just get it out of the way:
“Scott and his friends follow Dr. Valack’s advice; and experience strange effects as a result.”
Yeah, fairly worthless other than the mention of Dr. Valack. You at least know thanks to this that Tyler Posey’s character could be subject to some experimentation, and that there could be more potential for death and destruction before we make it to the end of the summer. The fact that Valack seems to be alive despite his near-death experience makes this all the more interesting, and also makes it far easier to question him.
Then again, Valack is not the only character you should be questioning going into this episode. Remember Malia and Theo’s bizarre moment tonight? It is hard to imagine that this story was introduced, and the show would just go nowhere with it. Maybe she does nothing at all to betray Stiles, but if we were him, we imagine that we would be at least mildly concerned about this.
