‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: David Ramsey on Diggle, Oliver’s tension

Diggle -The end of “Arrow” season 3 featured probably the hardest times in the relationship between John Diggle and Oliver Queen that we’ve seen. Diggle saw his wife kidnapped by Oliver as a result of a long-running scheme that he put on in his path to temporarily become Ra’s al Ghul. We learned in the end that Oliver did have some of his humanity left, but he did not exactly clue Diggle or Felicity in on the plan for much of the time.

Per an interview that David Ramsey gave to ComicBook.com, it is the sort of distrust that comes with feeling left out that could be the early source of conflict between his character and Oliver, at least once Stephen Amell’s character returns from his crazy road trip:

“They want to do that [anger] justice, right? Everyone at the end of Season Three was happy that Arrow was back and was going to continue the mission, except for Diggle. He had a personal problem with Arrow and it wasn’t so much what he did with Lyla and kidnapping Lyla. It’s the fact that he trusted Merlyn more than he did the team. And Diggle’s a soldier, so if he can’t trust him in the field, he’d rather not work with him.”

Season 4 is obviously going to be a huge one for Diggle. Away from the tension here, we are also going to have the arrival of HIVE in a major way. We already know a thing or two more about them hiring Floyd Lawton in order to kill John’s brother, but there are many mysteries as to why. Do you think he is going to want to see Damien Darhk at all?
