‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: Jeffrey Dean Morgan could return, wants Jensen Ackles to direct it
One of the great things about “Supernatural” is that thanks to the show being on the air for so long, you have such a robust lineup of guest stars who could turn up at some point to play in the world once again. To go along with that, you also have a world that can allow virtually anyone to come back regardless of their status as living, dead, or in another universe.
With that, let’s jump over to Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It’s been a long time since John Winchester appeared on the CW show, and while Morgan is very busy this year in between roles of “Extant” and “The Good Wife,” he is interested in going back to Vancouver at one point and doing some more work with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. With that said, he’d especially love to return if Jensen gets to direct it, based on what he said to TVLine:
“I would absolutely love to come back … There’s no official talk that I know of, but I’m always in contact with Jared and Jensen — they’re very good friends of mine.
“With me it’s always been about scheduling … But hopefully we can find a little time and they’ll write something that I can do. It would be a great joy to go back and play with those guys.”
For the record, Ackles is already directing the third episode this season, which also happens to be the first one being produced this summer. We feel like it is probably easier for him to handle the first episode in production, given that it gives him a little more time to prepare without having to also carry the acting responsibilities beforehand. It would be a lot to ask of him to direct two episodes in a season; for now, let’s just be happy Morgan would like to come back.

I’d rather go and vote for Jared as best actor in the Teen Choice awards – not that I have anything against Jensen, I love him, but let’s face it, Jensen and Jared are the ones with the best chemistry ever, and the angel was hardly in a scene with Dean last season.
