‘Girl Meets World’ season 2, episode 12 preview: The many mysteries of ‘Girl Meets Fish’

There is going to be something a little bit off about next week’s new “Girl Meets World” episode, and it will not just be the fact that we have characters dressing up like they are in a Sherlock Holmes story. Instead, we are talking a little bit more about how “Girl Meets Fish” may feel like stepping back into a time machine for some discerning young and old viewers of the Disney Channel series.

While this episode is airing a week from Friday night as a part of season 2, it was actually filmed and produced back during the first season. Therefore, characters like Riley and Auggie may appear slightly younger than they are in the present. Also, it is pretty clear to us that there is not going to be much of a story in here that connects to recent events.

“Riley is supposed to take the class fish home for the weekend, but it dies as soon as she gets it. Auggie suspects foul play.”

While we know that this is far from the most revealing synopsis in the world, it still does a good enough job of making it clear what this story will be about. Ultimately, our read on this is that Auggie is going to try to come up with some sort of clever mechanism to help him deal better with the idea of death, which children at an early age often experience through animals.
