‘The Good Wife’ season 7 spoilers: Jeffrey Dean Morgan attributes joining show to Julianna Margulies
CBS is certainly a prime destination these days for Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He is a significant part of their summer series “Extant,” and he has an enormous part to play on the upcoming seventh season of “The Good Wife,” being someone who Alicia Florrick brings in to her new firm. This is the sort of show that almost any actor would want to be a part of from a quality standpoint alone, but given Morgan’s schedule there was still a decision to be made for him: Did he really want to go from working on one show to immediately starring somewhere else?
Speaking per TVLine, Morgan comments that it was an email from star Julianna Margulies that finally convinced him to sign on the dotted line. He does not know too much about his character just yet, other than what he describes here:
“I can tell you that he’s an ex-lawyer who got into some trouble and finds himself now being an investigator. He’s got a laid-back personality and a quick wit. I like that kind of dynamic. And I think it will be a nice dynamic for Julianna to play off of.”
Morgan does not know if this character will be a love interest or not for Alicia, but we know that many are hoping that she does find happiness at some point. Matthew Goode is leaving the show, so Finn’s not really an option. Meanwhile, does anyone really want to see her with Peter?
