‘The Mindy Project’ season 4 spoilers: Joseph Gordon-Levitt to appear in premiere!

Anytime that you can get Joseph Gordon-Levitt to appear on your TV show, let’s be real: You take it. We know that he has done so many tremendous movies over the years, but we’ll always remember him in part for how funny he was on “3rd Rock from the Sun.”

Now, “The Mindy Project” can celebrate having him aboard here for their upcoming season 4 premiere on Hulu. According to a report from BuzzFeed, Gordon-Levitt will appear in a trippy storyline as Matt, a reality show producer for Bravo who has a ton of charisma. In an alternate universe, he is apparently going to be Mindy’s husband! We’re curious already to see what happens to Danny and some other characters in the cast within this particular universe.

Getting Joseph aboard is a great move for the series in the early going, if for no other reason than that it gives the show so much more clout and hopefully will give some more people incentive to subscribe to Hulu. It is becoming more and more of a great service the past few months, especially with them snagging the entire back catalog of “Seinfeld” episodes that people can watch more or less at any point they want.

Hulu is going to have a long time to continue telling Mindy’s story, given that when they decided to pick the show up, they did so for a massive 26 episode order. We ultimately imagine that this will be split up into two separate blocks, even though they are both referred to as a part of the same season. TV jargon can be weird like that.
