‘Arrow’ season 4: Stephen Amell, producers still hopeful for Constantine cameo

Oliver -The fourth season of “Arrow” has already confirmed the likes of Anarky and Mr. Terrific, so could Constantine actually be next? This is something that may actually be considered, even though NBC already canceled the DC superhero show.

If the show’s cast and producers have it their way, it seems like not only would we get John on the show at some point moving forward, but that Matt Ryan would be back to play the part if he wants. Here is what executive producer Wendy Mericle had to say on the subject in a new interview with IGN from San Diego Comic-Con:

“Yeah, we really want to do it … It’s something we’ve been talking to DC about and it’s just a question of some political things, but also the actor’s schedule. We’re trying to work it out, but we don’t know 100 percent if it’s going to happen.”

Stephen Amell also added “fingers crossed” about the possibility. We know that he was one of many hoping for it back when “Constantine” had a chance at being picked up somewhere for another season. We don’t really know why DC would balk at the idea, given that they were fine with him appearing on his own show. Then again, this is a group that already bummed us out by not letting us have Harley Quinn on the show, even though they are okay seemingly with both a TV and movie version of “The Flash.”

Ultimately, let’s cross our fingers that this happens. Also, could the presence of Constantine mean that we could get some other characters like Zatanna on “Arrow”? We’re going to cross our fingers on that one.
