‘America’s Got Talent’: Michael Buble, Piers Morgan, Marlon Wayans to be guest judges

The full review -Tonight, we had a chance to see the first guest judge on “America’s Got Talent” for this midway point of the competition, and Neil Patrick Harris did for the most part a wonderful job. He was funny, candid, and he had no problem being tough when he needed to be.

So who will be following him up in subsequent weeks? We’re hearing from NBC that the upcoming judges are going to be superstar Michael Buble, former judge Piers Morgan, and also comedian Marlon Wayans. We’re looking forward to this, mostly because they all bring something different to the table. We know that Piers is controversial for everything away from “America’s Got Talent” such as his strong opinions, but that is what made him compelling on the show. He was a really strong judge back before he departed, and was eventually replaced by Howard Stern.

As for Buble and Wayans, it’s hard to gauge how they will fare as judges, but we do at least like the fact that they are all going to have a Golden Buzzer. That allows for some more drama in the middle portion of the round, and it adds that extra layer of fun and memorability.

As a whole, we actually really like this format more than anything “AGT” has done in the past. Usually these middle rounds are overstuffed, but in taking their time the show is giving us more chances to see interesting acts, and actually remember who people are at the time we get to the live shows.
