‘Prison Break’ revival: Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell confirm talks
At the moment, we can tell you that it is at least possible that you will be seeing “Prison Break” on TV again at some point in the future. With that being said, though, nothing is altogether confirmed. This is one of the great mysteries out there in the world of Fox, who has been very much in the revival business as of late. They’ve got “The X-Files” coming up, and they also are adapting “Minority Report” and potentially “Fatal Attraction,” both of which were huge hits on the big screen.
Speaking to TVLine while promoting his upcoming show “Legends of Tomorrow,” original star Wentworth Miller confirmed that “conversations are happening” to bring “Prison Break” back to Fox … “assuming Michael is still alive.” The last we saw the show, it wasn’t looking so great for the character, and the only way the show could work otherwise is if it was a prequel. We’re not sure anyone really wants to see a prequel given that this was before the big break even happened!
One thing to remember here when it comes to “Prison Break,” though, is that death does not exactly stick on this show. As Miller’s co-star both on this show and “Legends of Tomorrow” Dominic Purcell points out, Sara was believed to be dead at one point during the series’ run, as well.
Both Dominic and Wentworth are committed to “Legends of Tomorrow,” so if something like “Prison Break” happens, we imagine that you’re going to be waiting a long time. We’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
