‘Chasing Life’ season 2, episode 3 preview: First details on ‘Life of Brenna’

“Chasing Life” is now two episodes into its season, and when you think about the journey that we’ve been on with April, next week’s new episode entitled “Life of Brenna” is going to be particularly interesting. We like that this show takes risks in its storytelling, and seemingly focusing an hour on the Brenna character is something that other shows wouldn’t dare to risk, especially when you have a character as strong as the one Italia Ricci plays.

As the synopsis below indicates, though, there are some interesting wrinkles that the story of Brenna will bring to the table. One of those said wrinkles will be figuring out how she is handling what her sister is going through. It’s difficult; she will feel guilty for being upset over anything, but it’s understandable that she would. She’s a teenager, and therefore is going to be going through plenty of problems:

“Being a teenager is never easy, but for Brenna it is even harder living in the shadows of perfect April. Brenna feels trapped, complaining about anything – especially having to leave her school in the face of all that April is dealing with. How can she complain about her life when her sister is fighting for her own? The only person she feels she can turn to is Natalie, which may push April and Brenna further apart.

“Meanwhile, Dominic tries to start over with his mother (Ileana Douglas) and April shops for the perfect wedding dress.”
