‘Hannibal’ season 4 renewal hopes: Will the season 3 finale set up the future?
Today marks the “Hannibal” panel at Comic-Con, and hopefully as time progresses we are going to have more news to share in regards to the future.
For the time being, though, we don’t have any firm answers as to whether or not the show will have a fourth season. It does not appear just yet that any new network or streaming service has scooped the series up, but this is something that, according to executive producer Bryan Fuller, is still in the cards. While there may not be any firm answers in regards to interested parties, suffice it to say that season 3 will end in a way that will at least make fans want more (granted, they probably would anyway). Take a look at what he had to say to Entertainment Weekly on this very subject:
“I think this finale wraps up the television series in a really good way and also is a platform for a launch in a new version of telling the story.”
Starting a week from Thursday, the main focus of the show is going to move from Hannibal’s jaunt in Europe to Red Dragon, and in some ways the final six episodes of season 3 will mark an opportunity to dive into that tale and start to know some of those characters more. There is a chance we will discover new wrinkles in regards to Will Graham in that time, especially since so much time will have passed, and he may think that he is in a place where he can rehabilitate psychopaths much better than he was able to with Dr. Lecter.
Hopefully, we will have some other updates on “Hannibal” throughout the rest of the convention. You’ll be able to see all of that news over at the link here! Also, sign up now to get some other TV news on all we cover, via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: NBC.)
