‘The Originals’ season 3 spoilers: Nathaniel Buzolic will return as Kol (at least in flashbacks)

“The Originals” held its San Diego Comic-Con panel on Friday afternoon, and let’s just say that this one was rather informative and at times funny at the same time. Much of the cast and crew was there, but what may be one of the most welcome slices of news revolves around someone who was not present in Nathaniel Buzolic: He’s coming back!

Of course, we should ass in here that for the time being, all that is confirmed is that you will be seeing more of the character during flashbacks. While it would be very cool to see in the present-day and at least feasible in this world (nuttier things have happened), there’s no guarantee of that anytime in the near future. You should also know that there is a chance we will also see a little bit more when it comes to Finn before the third season comes to a close.

As for some other big teases from the panel…

1. Klaus and Hayley are going to be at odds, often, over Baby Hope. Of course, she probably does have to escape the Crescent Curse and her present position before she can do anything else…

2. Freya is going to be a much bigger part of this season, and she will hopefully be able to assist in the parenting of Hope in some way (while also doing some awesome stuff).

3. It was suspected that one of the reasons for Klaus’ intrigue in Cami is that while she seems the good in him, he may seen the darkness within her…

4. Julie Plec admits that she is still sad about losing Aidan.
