‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 Comic-Con poster gets artistic with Clark Gregg, Adrianne Palicki, others

Agents of SHIELD -While Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” may not be coming on ABC until Tuesday, September 29, but you don’t have to wait that long at all to see some announcements related to the show! As you would expect, the series is going to have a large presence at San Diego Comic-Con this year, and we already have the first poster to tell you a thing or two about how they are promoting the third season.

This poster, first shared by TVInsider, is the creation of Jim Cheung and colorist Romulo Fajardo Jr. and features the vast majority of the cast. If you are someone who likes to read the tea leaves, maybe there is some significance to Skye (Chloe Bennet) having the larges overall presence, as her face serves as the backdrop for the entire top-right of the image.

Meanwhile, Coulson (Clark Gregg) gets the all-important and fitting center placement, while Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki) also has a great spotlight at the bottom of the poster. This is a reminder both of her fighting style, and also that the show still has big plans for her despite that spin-off not going forward.

This poster also reminds you of some series-regular promotions, and perhaps more than anything, it just signifies the show’s origins in a sleek, awesome way. We’d much rather see a show try something a little bit different to promote Comic-Con than just going out and putting a carbon-copy poster together that is a combination of stock promotional photos and a different-color background.
