‘MasterChef’ season 6, episode 9 preview: Replicating Gordon Ramsay’s food

MasterChef -We see this in one form or another on almost every season of “MasterChef“: One judge makes a really complicated dish, and then it is up to the other home cooks to try to replicate it in some capacity. We personally find it somewhat fun of a challenge at first, but in all honesty, it gets old fast. While it may be a great test of skill, we’re a creative-type and we appreciate episodes that bring more of that aspect of food to the table.

It will be a series of famed Gordon Ramsay dishes that the home cooks are going to try to replicate on next week’s installment, and superficially one of them does seem to be the famed beef wellington that we’ve seen around a trillion times on “Hell’s Kitchen.” Those people are professional chefs, and they’ve screwed it up more times than we can count. We only can imagine just how it will work when you have to deal with people who are not nearly so versed in this field.

By the end of the episode, we will be losing at least one more contestant, and we don’t have a good read just yet on who that could be. We’d say tonight is the first time this season that we’ve lost someone in Amanda who we truly thought we would be seeing on the show for a little while still. Most of the contestants left are pretty big personalities one way or another. We’ll continue to contend that Stephen and Hetal may be two of the favorites, and we’re not ruling out Shelly yet based on her edit. There are some quiet contenders in the mix still, but typically the winner of this show tends to be someone memorable. Just look at Courtney or Luca.
