‘Suits’ season 5, episode 3 preview: Will Mike try too hard to impress Robert Zane?
Wednesday night’s “Suits” episode brought us the return of Robert Zane, and that is something that in itself is worthy of rejoicing. He is a fascinating, complicated character; just because he is Rachel’s father, after all, does not necessarily mean that he has the best of intentions at all. More often than not, this is a guy who is looking out for himself and his career; while he loves his daughter, his trust issues and his tunnel vision can make him far from emotionally vulnerable. That is bad news for Mike Ross, who may be looking for a potential father figure from him.
“No Refills” is the title for the next new installment of the show in the event that you have not heard yet. Want some additional news on what to expect? Then just take a look at the synopsis below:
“Harvey brings some star power to his ongoing conflict with Jack Soloff – a conflict that Louis and Donna can’t seem to stay clear of. Mike brings in Robert Zane to co-counsel a case, pitting his instincts as a lawyer against his desire to stay in his future father-in-law’s good graces. And while Jessica mediates between Mike and Zane, she tasks Rachel with an unusual assignment.”
We never thought too extensively about the Mike story going into the season, with the biggest reason for that being that we were so transfixed on the Louis – Harvey – Donna dynamic. The thing that Rachel really needs to watch out moving forward in whether or not she wants to be mixed up in a world where Mike and her father are working together. This could create a whole mess of problems, after all.
