‘Celebrity Family Feud’ preview: Sean Lowe, Karina Smirnoff, Kaitlyn Bristowe, and more

Last week, ABC found itself a runaway smash hit in “Celebrity Family Feud.” Did we expect the show to do well? Sure, mostly because of the fact that you are taking an established name, a familiar host in Steve Harvey, and an idea that in some ways was spoofed already by “Saturday Night Live.” With all of this being said, we never imagined it being anywhere near the success story it was this past week, becoming one of the most-popular shows on network TV in the demo.

The one criticism that we had last week was strictly that we prefer more of the celebrities-only concept for this show, mostly because we feel like you are getting more band for your buck when it comes to clear entertainers. That is what we’re going to have on Sunday night’s new episode.

The football showdown – NFL stars from the AFC and the NFC are going to square off, and while football may not be everyone’s cup of tea (and is not actually broadcast on ABC), it is for a ton of people. Also, this is still going to be pretty entertaining to watch since it’s such a different atmosphere than the gridiron.

“Bachelor” vs. “Dancing with the Stars” personalities – This was tailor-made for ABC. The sneak peek below (via People Magazine) shows Harvey dancing with Karina Smirnoff, and the question that we are left to wonder is how in the world Harvey has never been on this show before! The “Bachelor” stars are Sean and Catherine Lowe, current Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe, and Jason and Molly Mesnick. Meanwhile, you also have “Dancing” pros Anna Trebunskaya, Karina, Allison Holker, Lindsay Arnold, and Sasha Farber.

All in all, we anticipate some good fun will be had by all.
