‘Big Brother 17’ spoilers: Latest rumor revolves around ‘Amazing Race’ alumni

The moment that we saw that the “Big Brother 17” cast was only 14 people, our antenna immediately was raised at the thought of this. How in the world could we have only fourteen people on a season that lasts for almost a hundred days?

Well, the rumor mill is currently going insane over the idea that there are two more people officially joining now, and while they are not alumni of this particular show, they do have experience on CBS reality TV as a whole. There is a new video that CBS has released previewing the season (watch here), and at the very end of it you can see sixteen sticky posts on a wall, with one of them bearing the name “Jackie.” From here, frequent show tweeter MissCleoBB points out that the signature is very similar to the same one that is on the season 26 flag for “The Amazing Race.”

Is it possible that Jackie and her blind-date partner Jeff are on this season? We were hearing a while back that there could be an “Amazing Race” contestant or two on, and we felt like it was likelier that the “secret houseguests” were something other than returning “Big Brother” players.

What we find somewhat-surprising here is that if they were really throwing in contestants from another CBS reality show, why one of the lowest-rated seasons to date? Also, why these two? They were entertaining enough, but we’d take the Hayley & Blair trainwreck over them any day of the week. If nothing else, the fact that they are not actually dating now makes this very interesting, mostly because we could see some drama come out of this.
