‘The Last Ship’ season 2, episode 3 preview: What lies ahead for Eric Dane, cast in ‘It’s Not a Rumor’

Tonight, “The Last Ship” returned to TNT in a pair of episodes that were forced to make you ponder whether or not all of the work to obtain a cure would really be for naught. If it turned out to be the case, we figure that the two-part premiere would go down as one of the most depressing in recent memory.

The good news going into “It’s Not a Rumor” next is simply the fact that the cure is still out there, and there is a chance that it can start to be handed out. Unfortunately, we have a feeling that it is not going to be anywhere near as easy as some parties out there would hope for. The short synopsis below (via TV Guide) may not be the most revealing in the world, but it should give you more insight into what in the world Chandler is going to be up to as they try to make this new world into a safer one.

“The Nathan James returns home to Norfolk in a mission to distribute the cure. Meanwhile, Chandler sends his crew out to search for their loved ones and friends.”

Moving into the next few episodes, the challenge will be now keeping the stakes high, and also just keeping up the frenetic pace that the two-hour premiere really brought us.
