‘American Horror Story: Hotel’: Would Evan Peters want to play a villain?
One of the many great things about “American Horror Story” is that the door is really always open for a variety of different possibilities. For example, the fact that you are a villain in one season doesn’t rule you out from becoming a hero, and vice-versa. For example, we already are getting the sense that Sarah Paulson may be someone evil on the upcoming “American Horror Story: Hotel,” and this would mark the first time that she has really taken on a role of this particular variety in years.
Could Evan Peters join her in coming to the dark side? He’s more or less been a hero in some way in each of the past few seasons; even in “Asylum,” he was more of an accused villain than an actual villain. Peters was asked in his Emmy interview with GoldDerby (a wonderful place for such Q&As) as to whether or not he would want to take on a darker role, and he replied with the following:
“I’d love to. Whatever they give me, I’ll play. I really don’t mind. It’s just so fun to work on the show.”
Peters also referred to his longtime co-star Jessica Lange as the “captain” of the show’s ship, and says that she is “definitely going to missed” thanks to the presence that she brings to the table. Peters will be joined for “Hotel” by the likes of Paulson, Kathy Bates, Cheyenne Jackson, Matt Bomer, Lady Gaga, and many more. You can most likely expect it to premiere in October, which is the same as past seasons.
