‘Game of Thrones’ season 5, episode 7 preview: First photo of Emilia Clarke from ‘The Gift’

When is Dany going to actually share a face-to-face meeting with Tyrion Lannister? There is no tease on “Game of Thrones” quite like this one to us, where we get a chance to see two of the show’s most-beloved characters actually get to share a scene together for the first time. When they do, it could make for quite a formidable combination. They are both gifted in their own ways; we’ve seen Dany’s skills as a conqueror, but she has never had anyone with her as politically-minded as the former Hand of the King.

Unfortunately, this attached photo of Emilia Clarke’s character from Sunday’s “The Gift” does not give away much. Unfortunately, we can say the same thing virtually about the majority of the photos that we’ve seen from this episode. They’re not exactly eventful.

If we were to get really hyper-intensive into this, Dany clearly looks somwhat concerned about something in this image, and her eyes are being directed to something very specific. Whatever that happens to be is to be seen, but we could be potentially seeing her preparing for a wedding of all things! We have already seen her try to mend many fences in an effort to become a proper ruler for the city of Meereen, and that includes re-opening the fighting pits to free people despite her previous opposition to it.

Yes, we all know how weddings on “Game of Thrones” go, but for some reason the excitement towards that still greatly pales in comparison to the idea of getting Clarke and Peter Dinklage on screen together at the same time.
