‘Shark Tank’ revisited: evREwares, Scratch & Grain Baking Co., Bottle Bright, Vestpakz

The latest -The sad news about “Shark Tank” at this point in the year is that there are no new episodes until at least September. The show gifts you with probably more new episodes a season than any other show, but eventually things do come to an end. We are now staring in the face of a lengthy hiatus, but we’re not going to go anywhere! All summer long, we hope to be back revisiting some of the old products with new impressions. For some of you, this may be your first time seeing them.

We’ve attached links below in the event you want to see or read more about each product; also, you can click here if you are especially curious in reading our initial review of the episode. We have to say that not too much has changed since then impression-wise this week.

Scratch & Grain Baking Co. – They got an investment from Barbara Corcoran the first time they were on the show, and while their price is still on the high end of what we imagine some people would want to pay for a baking mix (especially since you still need butter and eggs), it may still be something worthwhile to many out there with extra money, especially those who are looking for gluten-free or slightly healthier cookie options.

Bottle Bright – Lori Greiner invested the first time around, and for the most part we like the product, and the idea of using to provide clean water containers around the globe. This is especially useful in underdeveloped places where cleaning supplies are not easily accessible, and we admire the mission statement that for every one sold, the company gives back. The seem to be doing fairly well, though we would be promoting the return appearance more than they are.

Vestpakz – We weren’t really on board with the idea when it was first pitched, and we really don’t get the sense that things have changed at all since the show. There is little to no web presence here, and this backpack / vest hybrid may be one of the sadder stories coming out of the tank.

evREwares – They had a rough go of things in the tank, at least in that Mark Cuban offered to buy their entire business outright because there was no feasible way to make this work. For now, we’ll at least say that it feels like this is a business that is still hustling hard, and has a better plan in place for the future than any other in this episode. Granted, it helps that these are cheap, clothing-safe fabric stickers that are an easy novelty and probably cost little to make.
