‘The Bachelorette’ spotlight: Meet Corey Stansell, investing in success?
This season of “The Bachelorette” has a variety of different contestants, and one of the reasons why watching the contestants in the early going is seeing a thing or two about how they are handling some of the fame so far. Corey Stansell is an interesting case. This is a guy who is already making quite a big deal out of being on the show, and personality-wise he seems very interested in making sure that we as viewers like him.
Here is the interesting thing about this show, though: It really doesn’t matter whether or not we like him so much as if either Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson like him. That is going to be what keeps him in the game long-term, so we will have to see what happens.
Name – Corey Stansell
Age – 30
Location – New York, New York
Occupation – Investment banker. Maybe he really loves his job, but for us this is the sort of job that would make reality TV sound amazing by comparison.
First Impression – This guy really seems to have a ton going on already! There is a website, though while he doesn’t seem to operate it directly, it is selling #TeamCorey t-shirts and other stuff. He at least put forth some effort in his bio to make it clear that he wants to find someone, and he is willing to do what it takes to make it happen.
Worst Impression – The whole website + acting like you have fans before the show even airs thing is a little bit of a red flag to us. As someone who has been on reality, we were always weirded out calling someone a fan, mostly because to me fans are people who support your work and admire that. We always just felt like we were someone they were watching on TV.
Prediction – It’s going to be really awkward if this guy goes home early. We’re going to say just because of all of the hype he’s got going that he survives a little while.
