‘Bones’ season 10, episode 20 preview: Are Booth and Brennan falling apart?
“Bones” has been cramming in episodes into its schedule due to it being May sweeps, but after tonight’s installment, the show may not feel the same exact temptation to care anymore. Why is that? It’s because sweeps are over as of Wednesday, and there is a little more time to let everything wrap up.
So the show is going on hiatus next week, but after that come May 28 you may see one of the stranger stories that we’ve seen in some time. At surface level, it is going to look almost lighthearted and silly, given that we have a case involving a cookie-jar collector. Yes, we know that it feels weird to talk about murder and “silly,” but this is the tone the show sometimes gives us. the more serious story is going to center around Booth trying to come to terms with what his gambling addiction is costing his family. Hats off to the writers for actually addressing this, and not being afraid to actually give him real consequences of his actions. There is hope for him for sure, but he has to change to make it happen.
Take a look at the synopsis for next week’s episode now below:
“When the body of a well-known cookie jar collector is found in a riverbank, the Jeffersonian team must submerge themselves into the victim’s collector community in order to catch the murderer. Meanwhile, Booth struggles to come to terms with Brennan’s decision that he move out of their house due to his gambling addiction and Aubrey has his eye on one of the squinterns.”
