NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 3: See Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen, more in creepy cast photo

The third-season premiere of “Hannibal” is coming on June 4, and we come to you now bearing what is now some great news: One of the first-look photos of the entire cast! This is about as glammed-up as you can possibly get for a promotional photo, and it screams everything from “awesome” to “Bryan Fuller” at the same exact time.

The truth here is that this is the sort of photo that does remind you almost subversively of what this show is all about: Something that looks relatively elegant and divine on the surface, but something that turns devious, sinister, and dark underneath the surface. This is a show that manages to turn gore into an art form at times; that is probably the only way that they are able to deal with having so much brutality on NBC without the censors going completely haywire every single week.

This photo also serves as yet another great reminder of the cast, and the promotion of Gillian Anderson. Her character of Bedelia is going to have a much larger presence in the third season than at any other point before now, as she has joined Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) in running off to Europe. Meanwhile, Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) is going to do his part to search for them.

As we have heard previously, this series is going to be divided up into two halves. The first part of the story is going to very much focus on the story of Will looking for Hannibal overseas; after that, we keep hearing that we are moving into Red Dragon territory.
