‘Survivor: Second Chance’: Why Spencer Bledsoe is worthy of your vote
With some of the articles we have written about in this “Survivor: Second Chance” series, it’s strange to write a piece campaigning for Spencer Bledsoe. This is a guy who is going to get plenty of votes, and probably would get through without a single article being written about whether or not he deserves to be on board. He’s got the resume, the popularity, and even an endorsement from Tony Vlachos himself! (Yes, Tony remains one of our favorite players ever, and while we’re still happy he won, it did unfortunately cross him off the list for this.)
Hopefully, Spencer can take away some lessons from his time with Tony to bring into this game, which is probably going to be extremely different than what he faced on his season with the three-tribe format and the Brains, Beauty, and Brawn twist.
Past experience – “Survivor: Cagayan” (4th)
Why you should vote for him – Because he’s the young lad, as famously dubbed by Tony Vlachos. He’s a smart, funny, and competitive longtime fan of the show who is good in confessionals and a pretty good interview off the show, as well. He is also an interesting sociological study with this show. Before “Cagayan” started, he came across as this arrogant college kid, to the point where Jeff Probst famously said that he had “zero chance” to win the game. In the game, he was never really in power, and we’re insanely curious what that Spencer looks like.
Why you wouldn’t vote for him – The biggest reason is simply because you want to try to stack the ballot box to help other people you really like get on the show. Spencer’s getting on regardless of what you do.
Our prediction – He is as much of a lock as a lock can be. The only way Spencer is not out on the next season is alien abduction or someone brainwashing him to stay in bed. We imagine that the majority of the other men currently vying for a spot are considering him a lock for sure.
