‘Survivor: Second Chance’: Why Ciera Eastin deserves your vote
Welcome to the first in what is going to be a lengthy series of articles over the course of the coming week and a half all about one singular subject: Why you should vote for certain castaways in order to appear on “Survivor: Second Chance.”
The way we decided that we were going to cover the voting process is simple: By profiling each person, and doing our best to explain all the while why you should vote or not vote for each person. Some candidates are better than others, and we’re not going to hold back when it comes to sharing our favorites. Maybe at the very end of the series we’ll share what our full ballot is going to be.
For now, though, let’s begin with Ciera Eastin, as she is the first person featured on the voting ballot on CBS’ website.
Past experience – “Survivor: Blood vs. Water” (5th place)
Why you should vote for her – It’s simple: You care about aggressive gameplay. We don’t see many players who come out of the gate as strategic as Ciera was, especially when you consider she was up against returning players like Tyson. Also, she was really just a luckier rock draw away from sending Tyson home, and potentially having a better path for her to make it to the end. Given that she has another “Survivor” player in her family in mother Laura Morett, she has an even better perspective on the game than most second-time players.
Why you wouldn’t vote for her – Maybe you get her confused for Sierra from “Tocantins,” even if it is spelled differently? Let’s be honest here: Unless you just want boring players, we don’t understand how Ciera would be snubbed among these candidates.
Our prediction – Ciera has to be brought back, and she will be brought back. She’s recent enough that she will be remembered, and a good-enough player that she could do well in another season.
