‘American Idol XIV’ results: Was Rayvon Owen, Nick Fradiani, Jax, or Clark Beckham eliminated?

The past few weeks have been really great for “American Idol” as far as drama goes. Everyone loves a true underdog story, and there has been no greater one than getting to see Rayvon Owen stay in the competition week after week. Of course, everyone has their favorites, but there is just something really fun about getting the opportunity to see someone stick around even when it does not look like they are going to have much of a chance at doing so.

So of course, we were the most concerned about him going into the results tonight, but the show mixed things up and got rid of the green chairs! Instead, they held on to the results envelope until the very end of the show.

In the end, it was Rayvon’s time to go. We don’t think that he is going to be too upset about this, given all of the circumstances that we’ve seen him go through. This is a HUGE achievement. He had a hometown visit, and he also had a chance to make the summer tour. These are probably things he didn’t think he would have any chance to do at all a matter of weeks ago, and he is now getting an opportunity to do them.

As for the final three, Clark Beckham, Nick Fradiani, and Jax better prepare themselves for what should be a really competitive show next week. We thought that Clark was the favorite for a long time, but that gap has narrowed considerably as of late.
