‘The Good Wife’ season 6 finale spoilers: Will there be an epic cliffhanger?

Cary -We are starting to stare the end of “The Good Wife” in the face … or at least the end of season 6. With the season finale coming this weekend, there are of course a variety of questions out there pertaining to how the story will wrap up. You obviously have some more closure coming for Kalinda (it has already been confirmed that Archie Panjabi will be appearing at least for one more scene), but there is still also the challenge of trying to set the stage for next season. While we know that CBS has not officially renewed the show just yet, we’d have to be kidding ourselves if we thought that there was really a chance that it would be canceled. It’s coming back.

So as series star Matt Czuchry a.k.a. Cary Agos tells E! News, there is at least some focus during the finale in trying to make sure that we are preparing for what should be another epic season of stories starting this fall:

“I guess in terms of the cliffhanger in the sense that certainly it’s setting up storylines for season seven … There are new ones that come in to set up season seven—if we come back for that.”

We personally feel pretty strongly that the next season for the show will probably be the last. If you extend beyond that, you really start to get into negotiations with the cast and and some other territory that makes it more difficult (and not to mention costly) for the show to continue. As much as CBS loves the show and all its acclaim, the ratings are not stellar, and there is also a point where you have to let something go, even if it is something that you love.

For now, just cherish the end of the season, and you can head over to the link here right now if you want to preview some more from it! Also, be sure to sign up here in the event you want some other news on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter! (Photo: CBS.)
