‘Longmire’ season 4: A Netflix streaming reminder on season 3!

It’s still a relatively quiet period of time for “Longmire” as a series, given mostly that the show is deep into production now on season 4, and due to a variety of factors (including the Netflix move and probably the season 3 cliffhanger), the nature of what is being filmed is probably even more hush-hush than usual.

What we can at least tell you now is a simple reminder for all of those waiting: Season 3 is now available on Netflix! Isn’t this perfect news for those who want to catch up? Maybe you already have at the time of this writing. We presume that the majority of fans have already gone through everyone episode at least once, and the real value of this may be two-fold:

1. Going back and remembering everything that happened as you get ready to watch the fourth season.

2. Recommending to as many different friends as possible to check out the show, mostly in hopes of increasing exposure even further moving into season 4.

There are still many question marks surrounding what will happen for the series after the fourth season, mostly in that Netflix’s way of measuring success is extremely enigmatic and we also do not quite know what their overall plans for the series are. It is at least a different sort of entry in their lineup in terms of genre, style, and in many ways substance. We don’t envision sweeping changes coming as a result of the move, though we may have a more continuous arc to go along with slightly longer episodes. (This is the pattern established by “Arrested Development” and “The Killing.”)
