‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2, episode 20 preview: Chloe Bennet’s Skye and an Inhuman crisis

By the time the next new episode of “Agents of SHIELD” airs on ABC, major things will have transpired in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” will have passed, and much of the world will never be the same. With that being said, we also have not heard anything just yet about sweeping changes coming to the show. It will continue along much of the same path that it has so far, with a few little additions and mentions thrown in here for good measure.

Next week’s “Scars” seems to be all about the Inhumans, mostly in that the team will be dealing with them far more than they have to date, and at times even in surprising fashion. For a little more on that, allow the synopsis to be your guide:

“Skye is torn between her loyalty to S.H.I.E.L.D. and her connection to the Inhumans as tensions rise between the groups — and Coulson reveals a secret he’s been hiding from even those closest to him.”

The promo below is not going to be particularly revealing, but it is still rather awesome to know that the Inhumans are on their way, and they could cause more conflict beyond just the traditional battles between heroes and villains. Also, let’s give a quick round of applause to Marvel, who managed to figure out a way in order to implement these characters on the small screen. We thought for a time that we would have to wait until a movie to really start to figure out what could be happening to them.
