NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Did #VoiceSave protect Corey Kent White, Hannah Kirby, India Carney?

The Voice -Tonight, “The Voice” had a chance to deliver what could have been a dramatic results show, especially given at this point, you really do not want to see anyone go home. The first two artists saved by America, though, were ones that you could have seen coming a mile away: Sawyer Fredericks and Joshua Davis. These two were both in the iTunes top 10, so this was no surprise at all. Seeing Meghan Linsey follow was not much of a surprise either, given that she already has some sort of following.

After these three, the next person declared safe was Kimberly Nichole, which does guarantee that at least one of Blake Shelton’s team members will be in danger of going home. The final person safe was … Koryn Hawthorne! We were concerned after the iTunes figures for her, but she actually got more phone / internet votes than Blake’s remaining artists. Shocking, no?

What was even more shocking was seeing how the results tonight came to a close, and that was with Corey Kent White (a guy we assumed would go far based on the country pedigree) and and Hannah Kirby going home. India Carney remains, and the good news there is that the best overall vocalists get to stay in the competition another week. We are very lucky, indeed, for a season where we get Kimberly, India, and Koryn all in the top six. Sure, Sawyer is probably still winning everything, but he at least has competition.

Now, we just have to see what happens next week.
