‘American Idol XIV’ spoilers: Is there major change coming for finale?

Could we be looking at the first ever “American Idol” final three? While we’re not going to go so far as to say that, it’s possible that there could be another change in how the show does hometown visits.

As confirmed in a post on Facebook (see below, thanks to Mjsbigblog for the find) by Nick Fradiani, the top four contestants are all going to have an opportunity to go back home to perform. Maybe this means that these gigs are all just booked in advance, and they will all get them regardless of who is in the top three (which is typically when we get to see these visits happen). Regardless, it is interesting to note:

“Just found out that if I make it one more round on American Idol that I will be traveling back home to CT next week to perform! Let’s get all those votes in to make sure I make it to the Top 4. I can’t thank you all enough for getting me this far.”

If we had to guess right now, we would be pretty confident in saying that Nick should be able to make it to the point where he gets to head back home. He’s been very popular with the fans, and Rayvon Owen has consistently been the one in danger every single week. If it is not him who goes home, some may argue that Tyanna Jones has the next-best shot of leaving the competition. Clark Beckham and Jax to us feel like they are the strongest threats to be the final two in the end.
