‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 21 video: The Canary Cry, and Diggle in danger

The extended promo for next week’s new “Arrow” episode “Ah Sah-Him” is here, and it is for the most part pretty darn awesome.

First and foremost, how about seeing the Canary Cry in action? It is probably the closest thing “Arrow” has at the moment to a professional wrestling finishing move, and it is something that Cisco created for Laurel earlier this season on “The Flash.” It’s another tool that she can add to her own set of skills, but it’s not entirely clear if that will actually help her with what is interestingly one of Arrow’s biggest threats at present: The man formerly known as the Arrow in Oliver Queen. Now that he has taken the title of Heir to the Demon, he will have most likely stripped away much of who he was in favor of a cold, calculated persona. He has to do the job, and them promptly return to the League. He also has a new costume to go along with that.

If there is someone who could shake Oliver out of this, though, it is Diggle. The man, despite being a completely awesome butt-kicking machine, has a big heart. He convinced Maseo to tap into a little bit of his humanity, so couldn’t he do the same here? He may have to, since otherwise Oliver could be forced to do something he really does not want to do.

By the end of this episode, it is very well possible (yet again!) that nothing will be the same as it was before. The fabric of the show is certainly different already, but we refuse to believe that Oliver will be away from his team forever.
