Is ‘Madam Secretary’ episode 21 new tonight? First look at ‘The Kill List’
If there is still a silver lining here, though, it is this: We are starting to get a greater sense of where the final episodes of this season are going. While Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) has faced many struggles during her short time as Secretary of State, very little compares to what she will be forced to handle with Iran in the coming episodes. One storyline will revolve around an assassination attempt that causes relations between the two countries to intensify. Another part of the story focuses heavily on whether or not Elizabeth can also handle a Human Rights Campaign protest of a planned stoning of a gay Iranian citizen.
All of these eventsare in next week’s “The Kill List,” while the May 3 finale will deal with trying to resolve all major storylines, and pave the way for what will hopefully be an intense second season that features Elizabeth in a more comfortable place professionally. She has to prepare for the next phase of her career, and that is when some of the learning curve is over.
In case you were curious, the lack of a new episode tonight is due to CBS airing the Academy of Country Music Awards.
