‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ spoilers: Sarah Paulson returning for evil role

American Horror Story -Well, we may categorize this as one of the happier surprises we’ve seen this year. Given that Sarah Paulson has a huge role coming in “American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson,” we wondered if it was even going to be possible for her to be able to do this and her old standby “American Horror Story.” Would there be room in her schedule for both of them? It seems rather exhausting for one, since filming a TV show is no joke.

Luckily, Paulson may have some superhuman ability to multitask and find unique ways to get rest. Ryan Murphy today confirmed on Twitter that the actress is returning to the horror anthology for its fifth season on FX, and she will be playing a role that certainly has some evil tendencies. This is something that we’ve advocated to see Paulson doing for a long time, mostly because the majority of her roles have been heroic in one form or another.

Paulson joins a rather robust cast of “American Horror Story: Hotel” already, and that includes the likes of Wes Bentley, Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Chloe Sevigny, Cheyenne Jackson, and Kathy Bates, who is going to be the character running the hotel.

The one thing that may be making Paulson’s dual roles this year possible is that the shows may be filming at different times. The new “American Horror Story” should start work in the weeks and months ahead, and premiere on FX a little later this fall. There is not too much definitive known yet about “American Crime Story.”
