‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 19 preview: Stephen Amell, Brandon Routh work together in ‘Broken Arrow’
Throughout most of “Arrow” season 3, Oliver Queen and Ray Palmer have been at odds with each other, but not necessarily in a heroes-and-villains sort of way. Instead, they have been more of professional and romantic rivals than anything else. Both were after Queen Consolidated, and now, they both have a romantic interest in Felicity Smoak. The difference is that Ray has acted on that interest for the majority of the season, while Oliver has kept her at arm’s length deciding that it’s better to be a dark and brooding lone wolf.
So what will lie ahead on “Broken Arrow”? This episode airs two weeks from tonight, and Captain Lance’s mission to arrest the Arrow is still going to be high on the priority list. The synopsis below gives you a few details, though we feel still like The CW is holding something juicy back:
“Lance (Paul Blackthorne) continues his mission to take down the Arrow (Stephen Amell) so Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) orders Oliver to keep a low profile. However, when a meta-human named Jake Simmons (guest star Doug Jones), who kills people with blasts of energy and plasma, starts terrorizing Starling City, Oliver is forced to ask Ray (Brandon Routh) for help. The unlikely duo is forced to team up to save the city.”
We should note here that this is the episode where it was hyped up that there was some really major stuff taking place, and there was one of the most emotional scenes that the entire cast has filmed so far. That doesn’t necessarily mean that a beloved character is going to die, but it is certainly worth watching out for.
