‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11, episode 18 preview: Fun Patrick Dempsey, Jessica Capshaw sneak peeks

The latest -Who says that “Grey’s Anatomy” has to turn you into a sniveling, emotional mess every time an episode airs? The two sneak peeks that we have previewing tomorrow night’s new episode are actually kind of fun, or at least as fun as things can be when you are a medical show set at a hospital full of tragedy.

The one thing that we can definitely say with some confidence is that we still have zero clue why a major part of this episode revolves around a field trip that takes children to a hospital … mostly because it seems like there is almost no way that this can end well. This is a painful, incredibly depressing place where death is a common occurrence. Also, there’s always a possibility that someone will come running in with their arm falling off while the children are learning about what it means to be a doctor. Given the pedigree of this show, we’d say that the odds are about 80% that something like this is going to happen before the hour comes to a close Thursday.

What we can share with you for now are some more lighthearted moments. For example, it’s relatively funny to hear Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) give a completely different meaning to the word “pop tart” when discussing children. This completely ruins it forever for Alex (Justin Chambers).

Also, we have Derek forcing himself to swallow a huge chunk of his ego in letting the children know that his sister Amelia is technically his boss. He’s back at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital now, and is trying to make this job and his marriage to Meredith work. Also, she has almost zero confidence that he is not going to get bored and start to gun for her job at some point. This video is a good microcosm for Derek’s personality, even if it does not really carry the story forward much. (Video via Yahoo.)
