‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ spoilers: A mystery from the past resurfaces in ‘Beacon’

NCIS Los AngelesIt may be fair to say that “NCIS: Los Angeles” has some big plans in store for the remainder of this season. So far, Sam and Callen have escaped from a submarine, worked at a Mexican food truck, gone undercover inside of a building, and even worked with different partners after Hetty separated Kensi and Deeks. They’ve had their work cut out for them, and we feel sometimes as though they’ve lived more in a single year than some people have in their entire lives.

So going into “Beacon” on April 20, there may be an interesting change of pace. Sure, there will be action and a case that puts most of the city at risk. At the same time, though, you could have a chance to see some familiar faces from the past. The synopsis below offers up some additional insight:

“Callen and Sam are shocked when an old acquaintance, who they thought was the recent victim of a murder, appears and asks for their help. As the team investigates, they uncover a possible breach of America’s economic sanctions against Russia.”

Who could this be? Admittedly, we don’t have a preference with one condition: We really do hope that this is someone we already know from the world of the series, and is not just someone with ties to Sam or Callen’s past before things started, or something that occurred offscreen. That is no fun, after all, and now that we’ve seen more than 100 episodes of this show, there is an enormous pool of guest characters to pull from.
