‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2, episode 15 preview: Coulson’s surprising battle; Skye’s choice

While Phil Coulson has been forced to take on a number of difficult battles already on Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” the vast majority of them have not been battles where he had with outside forces. Sure, Ward was a traitor before … but never has there been a mutiny quite like he is going to face on “One Door Closes,” which is the next new installment of the ABC show airing in a week.

You already knew that Clark Gregg’s character was going to have their work cut out for him after what we saw on the show tonight, and the official synopsis below ultimately just makes that all the clearer. Take a look right now:

“War comes to Coulson’s doorstep in a way he never anticipated as shocking revelations are brought to light, and Skye struggles to control her new abilities but will soon make a decision that irrevocably changes her life.”

As for the promo, the biggest takeaway from it, other that Coulson trying to get answers and seeing Edward James Olmos (three cheers for that!), is seeing Skye told to run. She is still one of the good guys by all established evidence, and she is the most dangerous person in the group right now. If she can get full control over her powers, then there is no doubting that she is a valuable weapon … she just as to figure it out in full first, and that is not going to be a particularly easy process.
