NBC’s ‘The Voice’ preview: Bay Brooks, Brooke Adee, Brenna Yeager, Kelsie May battle it out

Tomorrow night, NBC is going to air another edition of the Battle Rounds on “The Voice,” and to get you prepared for this a little bit, we come presenting you a pair of videos showing you some of Blake Shelton’s strategy! Apparently, he wants to pair off singers who are at least slightly similar to each other and see who is going to emerge from the rubble as the more victorious of the two. This is smart if you want your team to be as diverse as possible. However, at the same time here you run the risk of losing a few talented singers because the end result is so close.

1. Bay Brooks vs. Brooke Adee – The real challenge here is that both of these women have names that are pretty close to each other, which means that Blake is probably going to be tongue-tied at some point while talking to the two of them. They are singing “Style” by Taylor Swift, who is fresh off of her own appearance on the show as a guest mentor from the fall.

2. Brenna Yeager vs. Kelsie May – We’re sticking with a country sort of vein here, though we are taking it to yet another level with a Reba McEntire song performed by these two! While we have seen battles before between people who really do seem to be invested in taking each other down, neither pair this time around seem that way. There’s a warmth and a kindness that is there, though we’ll have to wait and see if that still exists when they each hit the stage.
