‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 14 preview: Eugene takes the credit

Throughout the past two episodes of “The Walking Dead” season 5, we have seen Rick and the group do what they can to adjust to living in Alexandria. This is the closest thing that we’ve seen to a safe haven on the series as of late.

Of course, Eugene seems to find a way to ruin almost anything, whether it be by lying about being a scientist or just deciding that he wants to bum Tara out, which he seems to do in grand fashion in the latest sneak peek below for Sunday night’s new episode. The man with a mullet seems to be more than okay with declaring that he is the real reason that the group landing in Alexandria. Without his original proposal that they go to Washington DC, he feels like they never would have went in this direction … and therefore, he has pulled his weight enough that he doesn’t need to go on patrol.

Sure, Eugene is completely ignoring the fact that without the group, he would have been zombie chow a long time ago, but isn’t this the sort of thing a guy like him would ignore? We don’t exactly feel that great about the guy’s long-term future even within the walls of this town. Josh McDermitt is great, but a guy like Eugene is not exactly built for this world, especially now that he’s found out. He’s not like Benjamin Linus here; he doesn’t have any leverage anymore! Instead, he just has that hair.

As for Tara, we just wish that she was a part of the show more. She’s almost the forgotten member of the group.
