ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: Lena Dunham quiet about role at ‘Girls’ PaleyFest

Yes, Lena Dunham is appearing in an upcoming episode of “Scandal.” However, there is not much else that you are going to get out of her on the subject.

Speaking in a new interview at PaleyFest today promoting the remainder of “Girls” season 4, the actress / writer would not dish much on her role as a woman threatening to reveal sex secrets of Washington’s elite. However, she did at least confirm that this is not a role that requires her to be in her underwear the majority of the time. Well, there’s that. Like with her own show, Dunham knows that Shonda Rhimes is notorious about wanting no spoilers out there about upcoming episodes.

The biggest thing that we can say about Lena and “Scandal” at the moment is that the stakes are definitely raised. This is a show coming off of “The Lawn Chair,” a pretty brilliant hour of TV that may be one of the best things that the show has ever created. It was both powerful and emotional, and too on some of the very difficult questions that exist today.

As for “Girls,” there are only a handful of episodes left of the show before it once again goes on hiatus. While the third season stretched the overall episode count to twelve installments, this one is going back down to ten. We are going to have some other updates on the show at some point before it ends, so be on the lookout for those and so much more.
