‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 12 preview: Lana Parrilla’s Regina and a search

The last we saw “Once Upon a Time” season 4 on the air, it was pretty clear that the Regina Mills character was in a bad way. While Storybrooke had managed to find a way to free itself from the dangers of both the Snow Queen (who did eventually side with the good guys) and Rumpelstiltskin, she has now ended up losing someone she loves dear: Robin Hood. This was her chance at a happy ending, but now, it appears that almost all of that is falling apart.

Is it possible for her to get it back? Well, Regina’s goal right now is to figure out the location of the Author, and then use him in order to ensure that she gets back precisely what she wants. Given how crazy some things have been in this universe over the years, it really is not that big of a stretch anymore to assume that Lana Parrilla’s character would believe that a book could contain her fate.

The sneak peek below focuses almost entirely on Regina (who is much happier than in this photo) spending some time with Emma, debating over what she is going to do. She’s grown incredibly frustrated over the long period of time all of this has taken, and she needs a little bit of encouragement. Luckily for her, she does have a friend in this town! This is not something that it looked like she was going to have at some point earlier in the series.
